sTORy OF US: starcruise penang ~ phuket ~ krabi ~ penang (Five Parts)

Hi semua,

this time i nak update pasal our cruise trip ke phuket and krabi

memang hajat hati lama dah teringin nak naik kapal laut ni

nak merasa ala2 titanic lah konon

so bila pergi MATTA fair yg bulan march tu, terus aim utk cari cruise agent

so time mmg nak masa skool break sbb nak tinggal kids kat in laws

becoz rasa mcm tak berapa sesuai jer cruise ni dgn kids

(lagi pun dah bawak kids naik boat masa bday hubby aritu ha ha)

melilau cari cruise agent yg ada offer tuk skool break

so finally dapat la kat malaysian harmony

agent yang Pernah collaborate dengan pak Nil and peminat2 nya

actually aku rasa promo cruise agent ni bukanlah promo sgt pun

lebih kurang sama jer price dia

but aku spesies yg malas nak survey2 and compare2

and mmg aim aku nak naik cruise time skool break

so aku book jer lah tuk 2 orang

nama jer promo buy one free one but end up sama jer lebih kurang

so jgn lah terpedaya sgt during MATTA FAIR

ni just tempat utk travel agent dapatkan big crowd for their sales

sbb semua org akan dtg kat MATTA fair dgn mind set "dapat pakej murah"

all in we all punye price dlm RM2k++ (naik dari penang, full meals on board dari breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper)

~ the departure~

We all punye trip on 14/9 till 17/9 aritu (ahad till rabu)

ikut tentative check in is open from 1 pm till 3.30 pm

so macam check in hotel lah kiranye

we all drive kereta dari kulim and naik feri kat pengkalan sultan abdul halim, butterworth dlm pukul 12 pm

so reach penang dalam pkl 1 pm

terus park kereta kat designated parking tuk starcruise dekat dgn port

bayar parking tuk 4 hari 3 malam dalam RM15 per car

tempat tuk embarking cruise, swettenham pier. so kat atas tu lah tuk registration and check in cabin, collect access card in exchange wuth our passport (hotel will retain our passport sepanjang tempoh cruise), custom checking, and welcoming photo session

nampak tak depa2 semua tgh que tuk melepaskan diri dari penang.... he ... he....

selepas settle semua check in and custom checking we all pun disambut oleh cabin crew and penyambut tetamu cruise welcoming us on board

b4 climb up the stairs aktiviti wajib adalah photo session

biasa la income extra tuk starcruise (sure most people akan beli photo2 kat cruise)

termasuk la aku sibuk membeli gambar2

dinasihatkan utk you all beli photos on last day sebab dpt sikit murah (tanpa frame) and if kumpul byk2 boleh dpt satu FOC.

~ the lobby & the cabin / Stateroom ~

bila masuk jer dalam serius macam lobi hotel

most of the cabin crew adalah non-malaysian majority from philiphines, the rest mixed nation macam dari china, india, vietnam and indonesia.

access to main lobi from outside in and out adalah access card tadi

access card berfungsi as our passport cum credit card

so apa2 transaction within hotel facility and services kena pakai access card i.e ala carte restaurant, chargeable activity/program,karaoke, massage at beauty centre, shore excursion etc.

ada kedai duty free, crystal court with pianist playing song,

reception, guest service counter, shore excursion counter,souveniers store, beauty store etc

sikit info pasal ship ni ada kat hallway lobi, so jimatkan masa aku snap jer gambo

The Captain for the trip is from Sweden Mr Lennart Jegerfalk assisted by his 1st Officer also from Sweden, Miss Anna.

Menurut kata the Hotel Manager, so far the Captain is always from Scandanavian countries (i.e Norway & Sweden) belum pernah lagi from Malaysia apatah lagi Malay Captain.

dalam top management starcruise libra ni ada 2 org jer malay malaysian iaitu the hotel manager and the officer in charge for f&B

the rest dari india, china and philiphines.

ship ni ada 10 decks, main lobi/entrance kat deck 4

we all terus mencari2 arah ke cabin (bilik)

we all ambik Stateroom Oceanview with window at deck 3.

Actually ada 8 types stateroom dalam ship ni:-

1) Inside Stateroom

2) Oceanview Stateroom with Porthole

3) Oceanview Stateroom with Window (cabin we all)

4) Oceanview Stateroom with Window (L-Shape set up)

5) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (L-Shape set up)

6) Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (1 QB)

7) Junior Suite; and

8) Executive Suite

so lepas view and study kat link tu, bolehlah ambik jenis cabin ikut kemampuan masing2

lagi atas lagi besar & bedding type lagi romantik he he BUT of coz lagi mahal lah.

meh tgk cabin we all, comel jer but nice lah cukup tuk we all yg comey ni!

dalam cabin we all, 2 katil singles but sapa x leh tido asing2 boleh combine beds. pintu kuning yg terbuka sikit tu pintu toilet ye!

macam we all malas nak combine katil so sleep separately ha ha

yg atas katil ada warna biru tu actually boleh lower down buat penyandar, so jadi lah mcm bench!

ha ha toilet bowl terpost twice, sorry ye

bila lepas buat bisness, dia punye flush adalah flush angin, boleh terkejut bunyinye!

~ the ship exterior ~

Lepas abis kemas barang2, we all terus gi meronda kapal ni

Memang besar, level 9 dikhaskan utk pool deck activity sebab ada 2 swimming pool besar (satu adults, satu lagi kids)and jacuzzi. Ada 4 inclusive reataurant iaitu:

1. four seasons(western)

2. ocean place (chinese)

3. mariners buffet (pork and lard free)

all the above restaurant dah masuk pakej tuk B/L/D/S. except kat four seasons xde supper.makan ler sampai kenyang, Utk muslim kena be selective sikit sbb takde endorsement HALAL. So macam we all just minum air, makan buah, papadom dan roti.

Selain itu ada side restaurants (ala carte) iaitu:

1.Blue Lagoon

2.Spices Restaurant (malay cuisine)

3. taipan (cantonese and nyonya cuisine)

Both blue lagoon and spices restaurant ni dapat endorsement HALAL dari Jab Agama Islam Pulau Pinang. So utk Muslim yg nak lebih comfortable makan & minum betterlah makan kat sini. Tak kisah la tak masuk dalam pakej (kecuali request Pakej MUSLIM)janji dijamin HALAL Insha Allah.

level 10 adalah open air area utk menghirup udara dan tuk tgk open sea dgn dia punye strong wind, memang berangin lah dok atas deck ni. Selain itu nampaklah orang2 bermandi-manda kat deck 9 tu, he he. Ada pool bar(ala carte) iaitu Coconut Willy.

~ the water drill~

if dekat darat dlm building kita ada fire drill

kat dalam ship pulak, aku panggil latihan water drill

so masa check in lagi dah ada announcement tuk get ready for emergency practise

ini adalah requirement wajib yg kena dipatuhi oleh semua ship!

so semua kena bawak pelampung yang dah diletakkan dalam cabin masing2.

cabin crew dah assign setiap cabin ikut grup and assembly area masing2

macam we all kena berkumpul dekat stardust lounge so kat sini we all di beri penerangan keselamatan dan cara2 to put on the pelampung, berarak ke tempat assembly area masing2.

agak panas jugak lah tapi kena lah buat kan mana tau ada kecemasan

menurut kata hotel manager if anything happen we all ada

masa dalam stgh jam tu do everything!
